Let it be a reminiscence of love.
Far beyond a tribal symbol or a geographical symbol, etc., its legend is deeply rooted in love.
Once upon a time, two young people faced the turmoil of love in the Sahelien desert. The two could not be together because their family did not agree. They saw each other almost every day, but they could not live together. As the years passed, witnessing their unhappiness, the man preferred to leave the camp and abandon the turmoil.
Every day his eyes shed tears, the love burned his heart, and the distance had nothing to do with it, so he decided to go home.
It was then that he drew in the sand a symbol of the alliance between him and his beloved.
The young Tuareg man went to see a smith he trusted from his childhood friendship and explained his grief. The smith offered to combine the two syllables of the Kel Tamasheq word for love, melting them to fashion an object of silver that would serve as a token of recognition of their love. + & O
He returned home, and the two lovers forged a pact that would resist time and obstacles.
This token was a means for them to communicate when to reunite.
There is no magical power to it other than sincerity and the power of love, which gave birth to it.
